Please review these guides on many of the technologies and services you will need to navigate the day to day of working on campus!

Account Creation and Passwords

• How To Create Your Password
  This password will work for most of the services you will use during your time with UNC Asheville!

• Logging Into OnePort
  OnePort is our university's online portal for personal information, payroll, and much more.

• Setting Up Your MFA
  Multi-Factor Authentication is a 2-step login process for most of our on campus services and systems.

• How To Reset Your Password
  Resetting your password will require you to sign in with your MFA code/token.

• Your RockyCard
  Your Staff ID, and door access all revolve around your RockyCard!

• Wireless Access (Eduroam, PSK, Guest)
  Campus buildings and the Quad offer speedy WiFi for all your devices.

• How to get a computer
  New Staff members will have their supervisor contact the IT Service Desk to initiate the process for new equipment.

• When do I get an upgraded computer

• How to install software on your Mac or PC

• Printing with your RockyCard and Papercut
  Your RockyCard also allows you to tap and print from most campus printers.

• How to get a print fund
  Have your supervisor contact your departments Print Fund Manager.

• How to print with one or multiple print fund(s)
  If you need to use multiple print funds, you will use the installed Papercut application.

• How to use office phone
  Request your voicemail to go to email! Start a ticket with the IT Service Desk. Just provide your office phone number.

• How to use Jabber
  Jabber, an optional software phone, you can make and recieve calls with your computer.
  Please opt in by contacting the IT Service Desk if you wish to utilize this service.

• How to get shared drive access
  Shared Drives (including S: drive and R: drives) will require a ticket with the IT Service Desk from your supervisor or owner of the shared folder.

• How to get access to Google Shared Drives
  Access to Google Shared Drives can be done by the shared drive owner. Please contact the owner or department directly.

• Office 365
  Download your personal copy of Microsoft Office 365 or use it online with your UNC Asheville login.
