ITS Phishing Alerts

Below you'll find examples of real phishing emails seen on UNC Asheville's campus. While we've worked to remove any malicious content within these example messages, we strongly recommend against exploring any links or email addresses.

This list is not comprehensive, and is designed to provide a reference point to the phishing campaigns we see. If you receive a suspicious email but don't see it listed here, please do not assume it is safe. Many variations of every phishing email are sent frequently. If you received one of these emails, please delete it. If you received a suspicious email that is not yet on this list, please forward the email to helpdesk@unca.edu so we can review it. When in doubt, consult with the IT Service Desk.

Contact the ITS Service Desk by sending an email to helpdesk@unca.edu or calling 828-251-6445. The IT Service Desk Self-Service Portal is also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Self-Service portal allows you to request assistance from ITS using a simple web form.
