Google Suite for Education

What is it?

Google Suite is a suite of web-based messaging and collaboration applications hosted by Google. Google provides these applications as a service rather than as software you must download and install. To access these applications, you simply use a web browser on any computer that's connected to the Internet.  UNC Asheville's Google Applications package includes Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Meet, and Google Sites

When is it available?

Access is available 24/7.

Who can use it?

Faculty, staff, and students all have access to the Google suite package.  Volunteers, vendors, and other affiliates can request access by completing the appropriate form.

Retiring employees may request a new @ret.unca.edu G-Suite account when they retire.

How much does it cost?

There is no cost associated with this service.

Where to get help?

The IT Service Desk should be your first point of contact for technical assistance. Contact the Service Desk by sending an email to itservicedesk@unca.edu or calling 828-251-6445.  The IT Service Desk Self-Service Portal is also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Self-Service portal allows you to request assistance from ITS using a simple web form.
