YouTube

YouTube is a consumer Google app and is not covered by the university's Google Workspace Education Edition agreement. YouTube is not available by default for @unca.edu accounts.

With approval from Communication & Marketing, ITS can enable YouTube on a shared, departmental account. ITS cannot enable YouTube on a personal, individual account. For example, ITS can enable YouTube for the departmental account its@unca.edu, but not for the individual jdoe@unca.edu.

To request YouTube for a departmental shared account, please contact Communication & Marketing and ask them to send approval to the ITS Service Desk.

ITS support for YouTube is limited to enabling the service. We do not provide technical support for use of YouTube. Please reference the YouTube Help Center for assistance.
