Return leased assets for your Computer Refresh

This guide helps you determine which leased assets are due back and must be returned to ITS during your Computer Refresh.

Dell computers


I'm returning a Dell laptop

The following items must be returned to ITS with your Dell laptop.

  • Dell laptop
  • Docking station and power supply


  • Laptop travel charger


If you use a secondary display, keyboard or mouse, or other peripherals with your laptop, those are purchased assets and you will retain them. 

If you need help determining which assets are leased or purchased, please contact the ITS Service Desk.


I'm returning a Dell desktop

The following items must be returned to ITS with your Dell desktop.

  • Computer
    • This includes all cables such as USB cables, DisplayPort cables, power cable, etc.
  • Leased monitor
    • Each Dell desktop was leased with one (1) 24" Dell monitor, which must be returned. You may not retain the leased monitor. Your new Dell desktop is an All-in-One unit with an integrated monitor.
    • If you purchased an additional, secondary display, you will retain that monitor. If you need help determining which monitor is leased and which monitor is purchased, please contact the ITS Service Desk.
  • Wired mouse and keyboard
    • Dell desktops were leased with a wired mouse and keyboard. If you purchased a wireless mouse and/or keyboard, you will retain those items.

Apple computers


I'm returning an Apple iMac

The following items must be returned to ITS with your Apple iMac.

  • iMac
  • Wireless keyboard and mouse

  • Power cable

If you use a secondary display or other peripherals with your iMac, those are purchased assets and you will retain them.

I'm returning an Apple laptop

The following items must be returned to ITS with your Apple laptop.

  • Macbook
  • Charger and charging cable

If you use a secondary display, keyboard or mouse, or other peripherals with your Apple laptop, those are purchased assets and you will retain them.
