Finding your computer name (PC/Mac)

Sometimes a technician will request the name of your device when providing technical support. Here is a guide on how to locate the name that is specific to your device.

Finding the name of your Windows Computer:

Windows 7:

1. Click Start

2. Right Click Computer

3. Click Properties

4. Note the name of the computer on this screen

Windows 10

1. Right Click Start

2. Click System

3. Note the name of the computer on this screen

Finding the name of your Apple Mac:

1. Click the Apple Menu

2. Click System Preferences

3. Click Sharing
